New Rules for Contractors
EPA's lead renovation, repair and painting (RRP) program rule requires contractors to be certified in lead-safe work practices and training providers to be accredited by EPA.
On April 22nd 2010, the EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting rule takes affect. This rule requires the certification of contractors and maintenance staff performing renovation, repair, or painting projects that disturb lead-based paint.
